If the price paid exceeds 375,000 USD or equivalent, then the buyer obtains automatic permanent residency.
Foreign nationals can also purchase business property (land, office, building, factory, etc) for selected business activities. Foreign investors can also set up their own mixed use residential projects, business parks, industrial zones or any other similar development.
Under the Invest Hotel Scheme, foreign nationals can acquire hotel rooms/units and lease back to the hotel to generate yearly income. They can however enjoy their properties by occupying them for a maximum of 45 days in any period of 12 months. A foreign hotel developer can also raise funds for hishotel project by selling rooms/villas etc under the Invest Hotel Scheme.
